Breath in, the air is thick;
You could cut it with a knife.
I am alone in my room.
Alone.  Nothing but thoughts to guide me.
My thoughts alone make the air go thick,
Reach out and snap it in half.

The crashing, the thudding,
Trying hard to break free.
My chest acts as a painful cage,
Doing nothing but restrain my heart.
It beats against my chest
From nothing but a thought.
Boom.  Boom.  Boom.
All I wanted was some attention,
All I needed was to think you care;
I got both of them.
Now, the air is deathly thick,
And my heart pounds,
Thuds, and tries to break free.

WHAT IS NEXT?

Things are going well now.  I'm suffering no writers block and have been submitting a lot of poetry.  I'm really having fun.  

I'm teaching English at a University here in the Philippines and also holding classes at three call centers.  English has been a second language here for many years but the capability has slipped and the call centers want their employees to sound as American as possible.  

Since the calls they are handling are from the U.S. - you possibly don't know it but when you dial information for a phone number, the call is most probably being handled in the Philippines, but they are not permitted to tell you.
